Purdue Agronomy Farm Winter Wheat Disease (801805)
Description
The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effects of disease (rust) on the spectral response of winter wheat. There were two disease treatment levels with three replications. Each plot was 6 meters square. Measurement of reflectance and radiant temperature of the wheat canopies
were made at approximately weekly intervals of two replications of the plots from the time the wheat was inoculated with rust until the wheat was ripe. Several observations were made of each plot to study the effects of varying severity levels as the disease spread throughout the
plot.
